TEL AVIV 3
The Queen's father had discovered through Ancestry.com that he had relatives that he did not know about. They were from Russia and had immigrated to Israel. We made arrangements to meet them for lunch one day and they came with lots of pictures and documents about the family. Ernie's 2nd cousin could not speak English and her son was there to translate.
Afterward we walked to the HaCarmel Market. We bought about $40 of spices. We love the tall stacks of bread that have the Israeli spice zaatar on it. It is hot and fresh.
… and of course halvah including very spicy versions.
At the market you can get a hat with long hair.
We had dinner with Tzi at Halevantini. It is #131 or 1313 restaurants in Tel Aviv. We had a wonderful Middle Eastern dinner. It is another restaurant on Ben Yehuda close to our apartment.
